JB or Demon

I've got a mid-80's Kramer focus. It's plywood body. I know, blah.... But has sentimental value. I've butchered it over the years as a project guitar.

It used to sound pretty good, even compared to better quality guitars.

Anyways, looking to revive this thing. Anyone had any luck with a JB or Demon in a plywood body guitar? It has an old Duncan Design I could throw in it, but wonder if I should try the JB or Demon.

Theres a big difference between the two and I'd go with a JB for sure.

How about a Custom 5 and get a warmer tone with lots of muscle?

...I have never seen a C5 to describe warmer tone??? They are on the bright side of the spectrum and best for darker sounding guitars due to this.

Thanks for all your help. I want to use what I have, so sounds like the JB is what I should try first.
