JB SH-4 bridge pickup in neck postion?

hey guys,
I have a chance to get the Duncan JB Sh-4 bridge pickup for real cheap, and comes with a golden cover too, which is exactly what i need.

I've already put an order for a Duncan Distortion with gold cover to use in my Lespaul bridge position. How does the JB work in the neck position even though its a Bridge pickup?

Any info would help.

I dig it a bunch! Kinda thick though, I don't know how it'd fair in an LP. It's nice and syruppy, and has a great singing tone. It's also very well defined and never gets boomy.

ok, when you say "kinda thick though..". Do you mean its thick to a point of kinda lacking clarity?

That was with my V-Amp2 and JB neck in my old RR-1, 22 frets, alder body, maple neck thru with ebony fingerboard and OFR, so the tone will probably be a tad different .

Some people like it, but I'd wire up a push/pul pot for it so you can drop it down to one coil. This way you'll still be able to have cleaner, brighter sounds at your disposal.

My friend has the JB in the neck on his RG470. Sounds really great! Round tone it is.

DSS I love that clip... it almost sounds like a bridge position solo.

hahahahaha that's a stock jackson JS-1 into the soundcard, and with Garage band's distortion.
