JB versus TB 6 with high gain amp?

I already know I like the JB with my high gain Mezzabarba 100w head. ***Classic metal is the context for 'my tone' -NOT death metal

I hear a distinctly more 'smooth' less 'sizzle' in a good way for lack of better terms with the JB played next to my Dimazio AT-1 pup.
I love the AT with my other amps, but for the Trinity the JB sounds flat out better to me.

I have a guitar that needs a Duncan for the Trinity thus I am looking at either a TB 6 or another JB. Talk to me peeps!

My favorite Duncan for that classic Metal to hard rock tone overall is the Alt 8. Take the JB add a little heat tighten the bottom with a singing much sweeter mid response and you have the Alt 8. It's the JB on steroids with a modern twist.

Makes me wanna try one :D

JB has more mids/high mids.
Distortion has more bottom and high end sizzle, though still plenty of mids.
Alt 8 has solid bottom, crushing low mids, present mids and clear but not sizzley high end.

Pretty good descriptions actually.

I like the JB way better than the DD , I'm more into classic metal tones too, and the DD just feels more compressed and has less harmonic content. Low E Power chords on the DD do sound amazing, like a savage body slam, but I personally like the JB's character a lot more.
