JB vs Invader

Hi, so I'm looking to replace the bridge pickup on my mahogany body, maple capped Ibanez SA260FML. I'm stuck between the JB (Sh-4) and the Invader (Sh-8). I mainly play Punk, Pop Punk, Grunge, Alt Rock, Indie etc and have heard different things about each pickup. Any suggestions as to which would be more suited for my style would be greatly appreciated.

Re: JB vs Invader

I 'd get the JB, it's IMO the most versilte pickup they ever made. Just make sure you learn how to set it up, it makes a world of difference when the height and poles are adjusted correctly.

Re: JB vs Invader

The reason I say Invader is because that's a popular pup in all those genres. It's very big sounding

invader, no big time thinking it, punk pairs with either an invader or a distortion

Re: JB vs Invader

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm now set on an invader, hopefully should be buying it soon!

Re: JB vs Invader

Invader is the clear choice here.

I agree a JB is really flexible. But this is basically saying " Should I get a JB or a Distortion? I play Thrash, Death, Hardcore and Black metal"

Yes - the JB is versatile, but those are four flavors of the same thing, and that thing goes best with a Distortion.

This guy needs the Invader (although a JB would sound great in that guitar). Do tell axtys - what have you "heard" on the intarweb about the JB?
