if I'm not mistaken, they have the exact same output level, just a wider pole spacing, right? is the sound any different since the poles are farther apart?
There is no tone difference at all. It's the same exact pickup. Although string spacing is not the only difference between the SH-4 and the TB-4. The Trembucker is significantly ''longer'' than the standard sized SH-4 which might not fit most standard sized pickup mounting ring. The TB is supplied with a very thin black mounting ring specifically for the ''oversized'' pickup. Even worst, guitars with pickups directly mounted to the body and does not use a pickup mounting ring might not fit the trembucker at all. On why SD designed it this way, I have no clue :smack:ScreaminDemonDean said:if I'm not mistaken, they have the exact same output level, just a wider pole spacing, right? is the sound any different since the poles are farther apart?

A tremspaced JB fits perfectly into the aluminum pickguard on my Deluxe MIM strat.Satch1222 said:You're scaring me. Would it fit an American Strat?
