JB with AII?

Has anyone tried Alnico II in the JB? How did it sound, in comparison to the JB? Looking to put it in a strat-style possibly and counteract a little bit of the brightness.

I don't know but I just want to say that I would love to hear clips of someone who has tried this mod out. I imagine it would be warmer and more buttery than the JB, but still with the singing highs and great harmonics. (Aahhh... I guess I'm just fantasizing!!!)

I think Stevo has one, there are some clips try a search maybe that will yield some results. It is supposedly more PAFish.

Wow, that looks really interesting. I might take out the magnet from my AP2 Pro and put it in my JB since I don't really like either pick-up

how does it sound for 80's rock tone "sykes/lynch/campbell/lee" i'm looking for something for an adler body maple neck+board with a floyd = bright which is cool but i want to tame it a little and i think the JBII may be the answer . buy the way great playing on the clips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
