JBjr issues

Hi

I posted some previous threads on the comninations for a Charvel MIJ strat pick-up upgrade. In the end I decided on a JBjr (bridge) SSL-1 (mid) QP (neck) The only ine I am unsure about is the JBjr. It seems a little too harsh and screetchy - Also, with the volume control backed off to 8 it does clean up well but I would like a more gradual reduction in output - could this be to do with the pots?

Im my other guitar I have a CC and I much prefer the sound of this although the guitar itself is very different (Tokai LP) I am wondering whether putting a full size HB in my Charvel with give me a more rounded tone or whether I should swap the JBjr for a lil demon or '59. I don't particularly want to lose output just be a more rounded tone.

Ideas?

Re: JBjr issues

single coil sized buckers wont ever have the beef that their fullsize brothers do cause they dont sense as much string. get a fullsize bucker and youll be happy.

the taper on the pot is what you arent liking.
