1984 JCM 800 2203, horizontal inputs, 5 filter caps

Timing is off, it's rhythm guitars only (until next clip), and it's short.

Gibson Les Paul Studio > GE-7, slightly boosting > Head

Presence - 0, Bass - 10, Mids - 10, Treble - 0, Master - 5 (this head has a PPIMV, which is also on 5), Pre - 10

EDIT: Dude, I don't know who or what I was responding to, but it was the wrong thread, for certain!

Anyway, thanks for listening! I hope to have a full mix soon.

Wow, that's some huge guitar right there. I really like it.

Do you practice/play with the treble and presence at 0 too? My guitarist has been fighting a way-bright 2203 for awhile now.

Re: Jcm 800 2203

Yessir! GE-7 in front, with master level around +6, 100Hz ~ minus 6-7, 200Hz ~ minus 4-5.

Re: Jcm 800 2203

The pickups were 490r (not used in the clip) and 498T.

Tubes are:
Chinese 12AX7 in V1
JJ ECC83 in V2, V3
JJ KT88 in V4-V8

Holy crap - crushing dude! And thats with the master at only 6! Nice! Im debating between a DSL 50 (with the TSLC212 cab), the TSL 122 combo and the JCM 800. I played both the DSL and the TSL (The TSL at really high volumes which sounded awesome), and I was going to get the TSL or the DSL, but now, Im having second thoughts. Thats sounds so cool.

Re: Jcm 800 2203

Do you think I can dial in a good Slash tone with the mids up and a pre-amp sort of pedal (maybe the new Seymour Duncan one or an Electro Harmonix LPB 2ube pre amp)? Im looking for 3 things with a new Marshall, A Slash style lead tone, an AC/DC style crunch and a Joe Perry snarl. Thanks.

Re: Jcm 800 2203

I noticed your dropped this in the marshall forum as well :)

Gunny47, the JCM800 is beautiful for that!
