Jcm 800 mod

Hello, I whas after mods for the Jcm 800 2203 amp. I want a more high gain metal tone to it.

I dont want to send it in. (I dont live in amerika)

I would suggest to just hit the front end of it with a Tube Screamer or some other boost pedal. That's how most guitarists got "the Marshall sound" you hear on CDs. Mods can lower the value of the amp and they can cause the amp to break down quite a bit if done wrong. Sorry, I'm very biased towards stock Marshalls.

Mine too! Just get a nice DS-1...that's what Satriani and Vai used for many of thier classic tones. Or the Klon, Ratt, Tubescreamer or ????? of your choice...

your best bet is a Boss SD-1, or the MXR Zakk wylde overdrive. that should give you enough gain to push the JCM 800 into metal territory!

I'm shure there's some guy in Sweden who does amp mods, just search real hard, ask around and you will probably find someone who can do it.

It is some peaple who does mods, but they like cost 1400:- dollars to do(10000:- sek). It is very expensive.
