Jescar EVO fret wire...Anyone of you use it?

I am curios about Jescar's EVO fret wire. Sounds like it is tougher than Nickle Silver and easier to work with than Stainless. I have never used it before, so any input would be appreciated. If I were to use it, I would be using it on the Koa topped build that I've been working on. It being gold in color I was thinking it mite go well with the gold bridge and tuners, Koa top, Bocote FB, and black PUs, control knobs and switch tip. Thinking of the 57110 = .110w x .057h, or the 55090 = .090w x .055h
Thanks, John

Well, I haven't used it yet, but I have some in my possession should I ever get around to finishing a guitar that I started over a year ago. It gets some great reviews & in theory has a lot of good going for it. I'm looking forward to saying goodbye to nickel frets, that's for sure!

I've got it on my acoustic - its fine stuff. Though if I had to do it again, i'd go stainless - can't tell the difference in tone.

LReese, I'm curious as to why you'd choose stainless over EVO if you did it again?

I choose EVO specifically because they say it is easier to work with than stainless, but still much more durable than nickel silver. I'm not a fan of the gold color, but it has also been stated by those that have it find that it is not as noticeable as one might think. Would love to hear your thoughts on that as well.

Durability and my opinion that there's no tone difference (YMMV - others say they can tell a difference).

I've got 3 Suhrs with Stainless and had 3 Fenders and a Jackson refretted with it. There's also the anecdote about Glaser having an acoustic refretted with NS and stainless on an alternate basis (1 NS, next fret SS) on The Gear Page.

I do like the look of the EVO wire.

Nasty to cut but looks great if you know how to finish the ends. Keep a new set of cutters ready.

Xssive exclusively uses Jescar fretwire, perhaps you could send him a PM and see if he's used the EVO stuff.

Kilphody, is finishing the ends any different than NS other than it being a harder and/or more abrasion resistant material? Durability and the possible look, as well as to try something different is why I am looking using it.
Thanks for the responses all!
Anyone else have any input?
