I put in a MF order and saw these strings for cheap, put a few in my cart.

Strung them up on a strat and they're not bad at all. Nice clear sounds and good feel. Only had them on for a week, so can't tell what the life is like. Nickel Plated Steel. If you use these gauges and want to stock up, grab some!

Oh each pack comes with a bold as love cover art sticker, that's cool!

Light .09 gauge

.11 gauge

Didn't he just play Ernie Ball's? Are those comparable to EB Super Slinky's? I may have to buy a bunch of them if so. That's a great deal.

Ive bought at least 50 sets of those. They are way to light on the top end, but being as how I go through strings like Grant went through Richmond with all my crazy guitar assmblies l, they are a very good choice at that price. I haven't had any problems with them , but they will test your set up, because of the light Low E .38 gauge string..if your set up sucks you'll know real fast cause it'll buzz like Bizzy Buzz Buzz.

I'd say they feel smoother than the EB.

I think the whole "endorsement" thing is a little silly, and as we all know Jimi has been slapped on everything from these to water bottles to energy drinks or god knows what else.

Like MM said though, on the 9 set, the E and A are lighter, .38 gauge E string, yes. Kind of unique

A wound 3rd on the 11's is a deal breaker for me. Why would you put Jimi's name on a wound G string!

In for 5 sets of each. If I don't like them I know a few poor players that will fall over if I give them a few sets.

Come September Jimi's face will be on everything as the 40 year cash in begins. Jimi prophylactics any one?

Re: Jimi Hendrix strings from DM, $1.99 a set

i got a crapload of the 10s about a year ago when GC blowed them out for $1 each. they're actually really nice strings, good feel and clarity! they're like ernie balls with a slightly smoother and slinkier feel, and a clearer lower range.

Dean Markley makes great, inexpensive strings. I bought a box of their "Vintage Reissue" strings and they were like $30 a 12-pack box...so that's like $2 and some change per set. Sweet deal and the strings have proven good too. Before those I had some Thomastik Infeld Sliders on my Strat so goes to show that the difference between $10 strings and $2 strings isn't that noticeable. It's there but....geez imagine the amount of money that can be saved and poured into a not so shiny VOS Les Paul.

Disagree. I mean, I buy them too, casue I use them up fast and they are cheap and good...and they *are good, but IMO you get what you are paying for, and I really don't think they measure up to premium strings, but hey, as long as your happy who gives a flip.

I should rephrase. There's a difference. I just don't think it's worth it and that money used in strings, after a year, could impact my "new gear" savings fund. I expected much much worse from those strings. I love the Sliders though.
