John Petrucci does the Mesag Mark Five: 25

It may not be my kind of sound, but this gave me a better idea of what the amp will do than any of the more produced amp demos manufacturers usuall come up with. He gets it off to a good start too.

Cleans are nice like that mid boost too. Ton of pretty well focused distortion too , not a Mesa fan at all but that is a pretty good sounding amp. That is what technique sounds like , practice will award it to you.

Damn that sounded good.

I'm not usually a fan of petrucci's tone cuz it's too rounded and middy, and I don't usually like mark series stuff cuz I find them to be a bit too mushy on the attack but this was different. Maybe it's the el84s, and the way they react with the preamp but I thought it sounded terrific.

Definitely sounds like it have a bite more bite to it, a bit more like his older tones I'd say.

Sounded great. I like the Mark series for their great cleans and gain while keeping a smoothness to them. Great little amp.

Damn! That sounds terrific. I loved the IIC+ lead sounds, slightly saggy in the bass. Love that.
Really liked the raunchy dirty sounds with the mid boost thing as well.

That's a great amp.

And now it's Chappers and the Captain's turn to do it - not listened to it yet...
