Ok ok ok...it's a VIVO! (5150 for those not Roman Numeral inclined)
It was a toss up between the Vivo, the Zombie and the Meteor.
To me, the Meteor sounds better than any Orange I've ever heard. But...I've never gotten along with their feel and seemingly soft attack. But the overall tone still intrigues me.
The Zombie sounds big and aggressive, but a review stated that it lacks mids and the tone dial doesn't open them up either. Having owned Rectos before, I can understand that.
The Vivo has better mids and a better sweep with the tone dial according to reviews. Plus, I can relate moreso to the feel and attack of Marshall/5150 type preamps.
But...if the Vivo really impresses me, then I may order the other two as well lol!

I messed around with a few of those at a music store last week. I agree that the zoMBie lacks mids. You made the right choice.

If I decide to get the Zombie too, I'm sure I could mitigate the lack of mids with a mid heavy boost pedal. The Meteor seems to have plenty of mids, but comes across as having a fat crunch, rather than an aggressive crunch like the Zombie. Neither lack lowend by the sounds them. I just wish these amps accepted a 4 ohm load so that I can blend them with my A/B/Y pedal and play them in stereo through my 412.

Do you have another power amp? Take signals from the effects loop sends, blend them, run them into a single power amp?
Or rewire your 4x12 so it's effectively two 2x12s in one?

i got the zombie cause the vivo wasnt out. ive since upgraded to a laney ironheart, but now i want a vivo :lmao:
