Joyo pedals.

Re: Joyo pedals.

The Sweet Baby is the best OD pedal I've ever had. It's great in front of a clean channel, but it's even better pushing a slightly dirty amp.
The Us Dream is great, but not so great in my already mid-heavy rig. It could use EQ control for this reason.
I've got the tuner pedal and well, it works. It's a bit slow tracking sometimes but rolling the tone knob to zero makes it quicker. No idea why.

I wouldn't argue with that....tend to agree.

I thought it was the Marshall Jackhammer. :nana:

I suspect it's high-frequency harmonics and transients, competing with the fundamental. Rolling the tone knob down attenuates those components of the guitar's output signal, so that the tuner has an easier time locking onto the fundamental. I can see different tuners doing better or worse than others in this area.

Re: Joyo pedals.

I got the Joyo Dyna Compressor JF-1

They are a "safer" bet, well built and cheaper than what they are modeled after.

If I had to pick between behringer and joyo
I'd go with the 'yo' on durability alone

Haha! Actually the Marshall's at it's best in front of a clean amp IMO. It has it's own gritty character and I think of it as a distortion pedal, not an OD.
The Joyo is glorious at pushing a dirty amp and magnifying whatever's good and bad about your amp, guitar and pickups.
Both are the best tools I've got.

Re: Joyo pedals.

I'm not much into pedals but I bought a Joyo American Sound pedal some time ago for use with my VHT Spec. 6 Ultra. I like the EQ features on it and it has outlasted my Bad Monkey OD pedal.

I would buy another Joyo in the future but for now when I need effects I use my Fender SCXD.

Re: Joyo pedals.

I've had a ton of pedals over the past 25 years. The Joyo was the first to fail on me. First it was extremely noisy- a possible bad solder joint, and then the foot switch failed.

Great if you get one that lasts. But with the cheap price you're taking a chance

Re: Joyo pedals.

I've not had any of my Joyos fail on me. True its a buying such a cheap pedal, but with them being so cheap its not an expensive risk.

Re: Joyo pedals.

I've got a ton of cheap Chinese pedals (Moen/Mooer/Nux/Vitoos etc) but no Joyo's yet for some reason lol..

Never had any of them die on me..& they all sound great.
