I ordered some 1n34a germanium diodes through guitarparts.com to replace the stock diodes in D1 and D2 of my Joyo Vintage Overdrive Pedal. I wanted asymmetrical clipping so the plan was to wire two germanium diodes in series in the D1 spot. When I opened the pedal up the stock diodes in D1 and D2 looked identical to the germanium I had gotten so I just wired two new ones in series to replace the D1. The Joyo now sounds a little meaner but not far off from the stock version. I forgot to take a picture of the end result but this picture is of the stock format.
Can anyone confirm the stock diodes value?
