Thanks. Not everyone's cup of meat, but I am very pleased with the way it's progressing.

Very professional sounding, some great sounds in there. Not my style but it does sound very good.

Thank you for the kind words! There is a lot of work to be done; imo, it's not even close to an actual mix yet lol.

cool man! I like the guitar parts best of course, very pink floydian ;)

Re: JUPITER -- rough mix (instrumental, prog/psych, soundtrack)

Thanks for listening! I cannot take credit for the guitar playing; that's the wonderful Jan Fekkes from the Netherlands who is channeling Mr Gilmour. I am merely the writer/arranger/engineer on this one!

cool stuff, it takes a lot of effort to do what you do, cheers :)

Re: JUPITER -- rough mix (instrumental, prog/psych, soundtrack)

That is does, thanks for the encouraging words. It has slowly been building steam over the past year and a half. I am very happy to be able to keep up the release schedule I always wanted in a band (2-3 releases/year) and now being able to work with talented musicians from all over the globe and preapring for some live gigs, I feel very blessed.

Cool stuff, and as mentioned, very Floyd-ish which is never a bad thing. The mix is good too, maybe a few tweaks but definitely not far off, of course, a mix is kind of dependent on what you are trying to achieve, especially with an ambient/prog/? track like that.

I might pull back the lead guitar track a little more at the end, or maybe add some warm compression so it fits into the track a little better, but, I'm no engineer so take that with a grain of salt...

Thanks so much for the kind words; always nice to get a fresh perspective!

Re: JUPITER -- rough mix (instrumental, prog/psych, soundtrack)

Nice work. :beerchug:

I did note a few spots early on where the synth seemed to come in just ahead of everything else, and those drones that start at about 3:30 seem to last a tad longer than I can bear at that pitch, but that's only because it sets off my tinnitus

Might also consider doing something with the mission control chatter that links directly to the different movements, like when dude says "30 seconds", follow up 26 seconds later with "3...2...1...go" then drop right into the next movement. Haven't heard all the other tracks you've posted (been kinda busy) but in keeping with the overall theme, but maybe start one of with something like a "we are go for burn" and drop right into a balls-out prog jam.
Could even use a "go for separation" sample to drop into a half-time segment.

I can totally see this being done live in a 1-man show, with video clips and such on the back wall, and swapping between the various main instruments while triggering the other tracks. Keys and bass pedals, guitar with synth chord trigger pedals/pads.
Would definitely be a workout, though.

As a huge fan of our space program in my youth (and still am) I am really enjoying this/these.

Very atmospheric (pun intended) :D

Re: JUPITER -- rough mix (instrumental, prog/psych, soundtrack)

Thanks, JB! Wouldn't have guessed you would be into this sort of thing.

Re: JUPITER -- rough mix (instrumental, prog/psych, soundtrack)

Well my big passion is military historical when it come aviation, but also was very much into the space program. Went to cape canaveral/KSC a couple times as a kid and my dad's business was not far from the original air & space museum (smithsonian) in D.C. Mercury, Gemini, Apollo..I had books and posters out the wazoo. I even collected all the stamps I could ..including spacelab and soyuz..I lost interest as the Space Shuttle became a reality...not really sure why.
