Just Bought A Recording King Dirty Thirties Parlor Guitar For $99.99.................

Guitar Center is selling the Recording King Dirty Thirties parlor guitar cheap until the 4th of July and I picked one up today. The first one I looked at had a ding on top of the headstock and the first and second one, both straight out-of-the-box, the intonation was off. I bought the one on display in the acoustic guitar room and had an explanation that the guitars need to settle in a stable environment.

I brought my guitar home and filed down the saddle (the action was high, may have to file a little more) and sometime later I'll file the nut slots. This guitar sounds pretty good and has a classic budget guitar look for blues or fingerstyle.

If it sounds good but the action is high I would tune it to drop D and leave it kicking around for slide.
