The CC that is. I'm going to take it out and go with either an evolution or a super distortion. Which would you go for?

Don't get caught in the PU trap of buying & selling, buying & selling. Be analytical. What don't you like about the CC? Top end too rounded, bottom end too loose? That's the A2 magnet. May not work for your application. Look at the different magnets before you start chucking PU's & selling them for a loss.

Many metal-heads are content putting a ceramic in a CC. Other guys, like me, put in an A4 or A5 (making it a Custom 5). Search the old threads for info on magnet EQ & output. Then look at pots & caps. Go through the inexpensive stuff first before you start the cycle of laying out lots of cash for a series of PU's that aren't quite what you want.

Well I've never met a duncan I liked more than a dimarzio, but thats just me personal. I like my JB/59 setup cuz it covers a lot of ground, but I think the CC is going. I'm pretty set on a super distortion when I can afford it.
