Just Finished a pickup sound off

Hi all,

Had fun this afternoon. Just re-tubed the amp so gave it a good blast out.
Also managed to complete my mag swaps following Blueman's advice.

3 guitars: 2008 Gibson Les Paul Studio with 490r (a5 mag) / 498t (UOA5 mag)
2009 Gibson Les Paul Custom with duncan 59 (installed today) / Gibson 498t (A8 mag) and a 1997 Ibanez RG470 with Jazz / JB combo and standard S1 in middle.
All running into Peavey Valveking 212 with Tungsol in v1, jj ec803s in v2 and sovtek lps in v3. 4 new 6L6wxt+ power tubes.

Started on my normal settings bass on 3, mid 5, treble 6 for both channels, gain on 4 on lead channel.

Studio sounded very nice, good tight sound and very pronounced.
Custom seemed neck heavy with the 59n. But again good overall sound when backing off the neck volume.

Ibanez was awesome !!. Have not played this guitar for about 6 months, and forgot all about the sound it produced. Very impressed with it.

All in all 3 very good useable guitars. May put an A4 in the 59 as this seems to be the mod to do. Also may play the amp tone controls to futher tweak the sound. But pleased with all 3 guitars, all very useable for live work with little or no amp changes needed.

Nice going. I personally don't usually make multiple changes at once, it makes it hard for me to determine which change made which difference. But, if your happy with it thats what counts, good on ya.

Only change today was the 59n in the custom. I did re-tube the amp but with like-for-like tubes. The power tubes were starting to "pop" so changed the lot including the pre-amp for peace of mind.

The Pickup magnet changes were done over the Xmas period, I have just never played all 3 in one afternoon and compared them, without touching the amp eq.
