took me a good while to get it in. the scary thing is, it and my all maple body/neck ibanez rx350 with dimarzio super3 sound like, identical @_@.

however, sadly, as with all great battles, there were casualties. bridge tone and vol pots were lost to the heinously evil combination of poor quality production and furious soldering iron, thus the duncan 59 neck was forcebly routed from the action =(

Uhh......that was your fault dude. Should have researched a little more. Sounds like a wiring mess... did you use the EMG Pots provided?

i was intending on keeping the 59n, at least for a while, so i asked the emg ppl if it was possible. they told me that just keeping the 500k pots were ok, but i would lose the "roll down - clean up' function, it'd be more like a 0 = silent, 1 = full, 2-10 = silent. i did have a bit of trouble with the wiring, and it was such a dumb mistake too, i mixed up the lugs on the stereo jack! by the time i did figure it out, i had tried just about every single possible combination and thus the bridge pots died =( actually, although it works now, its still a wiring mess. i can roll down a 500k pot and use all 1-10 to clean up! =P

edit: uhhh, forgot to answer ur question. no, this 81 was used, and i kept forgetting to buy the 25k ones.......
