Just ordered some Custom Shop pickups!

I called the Custom Shop last evening and placed an order for a new bridge and neck set for my Les Paul Traditional. Really looking forward to getting these in the mail as quite a few people here have mentioned that there is something extra in the pickups they get from the shop.

I ordered a Jimmy Page Custom Bridge along with a different neck pickup to match well with the bridge. I wanted the neck position to be a little lower in output compared to the JP neck (8.2k), so I asked MJ to work her magic and create something special to vintage specs. She was very helpful over the phone.

I'll let you all know once I get the pickups in the mail and get them installed in the guitar. If any of you have some Custom Shop stories, please share. Cheers!

Not a story, but I think it's just great that Seymour Duncan has opened up a world of limitless tonal possibilities to the public via the custom shop. Not to mention you get to deal directly with the people responsible for putting your pickups together. I bet the customer service is top notch.

Sound like a great combo! I currently use a 8.9k Bridge pup from the Dave Zeppelin Set of David Barfuss. He combines it with a 7.7k covered neck pup. My neck is currently a Seth Lover neck with a A5 magnet.
