Just Ordered Strat!

Hey guys, just wanting to brag that i just ordered my Fender American Stratocaster, in 3 tone sunburst with a maple neck. Once i get it ill tell you how it sounds!

I want a strat. I like the way they sound. I've never been a huge fan of sunburst stuff. My Epiphone is sunburst, though. I like the "brighter" sound with Fender over Gibson made stuff. Plus, its a guitar that can suit my musical needs more-so than Gibson. I've been shopping around for a strat.

Word word, i guess i just decided, that a strat is THE guitar for me, i love the neck, the tone, and the single coils fit my playing PERFECTLY. Cant wait till it gets here.

I bought the same guitar last year - American Series 3 tone sunburst with a maple neck. They're fantastic guitars - first real strat I've ever owned and I love it. You may want to try the stock pickups for a while, they're actually pretty good.

You may want to try the stock pickups for a while, they're actually pretty good.

I'll second that. I got American a few weeks back and immediately thought I'd be changing pups..now I'm not sure/torn on the matter. I play hard rock/metal and still am getting some great sounds off the bridge pup with some tweaking of amp/stomper/tone controls.

Great guitar....plays great...sounds great..looks great, built great

I've had strats ranging from MIM, Jap, Am Std, Am Series, up to a few expensive Custom Shops. After all of them, I'm convinced that my favorite is the American Series, like yours. To me, sunburst alder with either rosewood or maple neck is the best sounding and playing. I sold the Custom Shops because I hate the radius and frets. The cheaper one's were just plain inferior, and the Am Stds are great, but the Am Series has a slightly better feeling neck, with the rolled edges.
With a set of Ant I's or II's, there's just nothing better in the strat world, IMO of course.
