this would be my fourth marshall head to add to my collection.
i never thought marshall would re-issue this model. i searched the used market for years and quite a few were going for more than $3000-4000. i could just never get the right one (stock, 100W head and very good condition) at the right price. the reissue has easy access for biasing and doesn't have the rotary switches for speaker resistance and mains voltage. not sure how world-touring rock stars would deal with the lack of voltage selection. anyhow i'm tickled marshall made the right decision to re-issue the amp.
i'm sure this one will be the most played amp i have.
i read the recent thread comparing the different marshalls and there definitely are tonal differences with each model. the speaker and cabinet type makes a big difference. the jube cab comes with the celestion vintage speakers-which is a great match.
next is the 1959HW. maybe in 5 years.
