Just picked up this vintage pedal (ibanez...help please!)

Hey guys, just picked this up off a friend of mie nat school the other day (used to be his dad's):
http://filters.muziq.be/model/ibanez/808/fl301

I bought it off of him for 20$ (including a DOD american metal pedal...which I won't be using). This flanger is only missing the batter componant cover but I'm going o have a cover fabricated for it (although I will be powering this with my power supply).

Basically I was wondering if you guys had any suggested settings for this or some basic explination. I'm new to the flange world but I couldn't pass this up! Also, (even though I'm about to go experiment) would you guys put it in FRONT or in the loop? Thanks in advance!

p.s. too bad it wasn't green eh?

Re: Just picked up this vintage pedal (ibanez...help please!)

No suggestions...got one myself..amonga few other flangers;)
But it is a very cool oldschool flanger, can also set it for some trippy chorus like sounds, the regenerator adjust the feedback, do not turn that one much over 12 o'clock.
Speed gives itself away...the width changes the character of the flange!
By the way it is 18 volt.

In Cartman's voice "God I hate you Kamanda~SD" Dude!!!!!!!! I love FL9 re-issue sounds, I can only imagine how this one sound I've read here from Rid and other places on the net that's its one the most elegant flagers there is, from what I understand this pedal is sought after. 20 bucks? why? why? it never happens to me, this just sucks, first I've been playing so sucky no matter what I do las couple of weeks now you and your moment of 20 buck for magic, ARRHHHH !!!!

Thanks!

Rid- Yes I know it is 18v, I have 3 18v outs on my power supply

Dr. Mavashi...As soon as I get my good computer back I'll post some clips. I was really lucky on this one for sure...they are out there, you just gotta find them.

Re: Just picked up this vintage pedal (ibanez...help please!)

Our very own Scott Miller has coveted that very pedal for a long time. Maybe on monday he'll weigh in.

Re: Just picked up this vintage pedal (ibanez...help please!)

IM going to do you a huge favor and give you twice what you paid for it. Thats a 100% profit!

Re: Just picked up this vintage pedal (ibanez...help please!)

If there's any problem just send it to Robert Keeley... of I think there's someone else on this board that mods/repairs pedals

Re: Just picked up this vintage pedal (ibanez...help please!)

Nice score mang!! That dude must love you like a brother or he needs money for his habit one of the two. No WAY I'd let something like that go for $20.

Re: Just picked up this vintage pedal (ibanez...help please!)

I told him it was that old and such and still...$20!

Nothings wrong with it, he claims he friend said it set on fire on him once :S But I imagine it was just a short, I've been using it with my power supply and the things been running super smooth! This is probably one of the best deals I've gotten (maybe I should jump in that thread)! Thanks to everyone who replied!

P.s. Anyone have any idea what its worth? and jerryjg- sorry man!
