Just some tube advice

Ok, I got a JCM900, right? and it's got the 4-8-16 ohm switch on the back and I was wondering which one to use for my cab. I got the 1960 Lead, which I've heard was 8 ohms, but the back panal says 16 ohms. Now, I thought 16 ohms was for running a full stack, should I set my head to 16 ohms or leave it at 8?

Re: Just some tube advice

Ohm's should ALWAYS match, regardless of number. If you don't, you run the risk of taking out your amp.

Indie...run it at 16 ohms !!!! The 1960 cab is what I use, and they're 16 ohm cabs !!!! ( one head plus one 1960 cab= 16ohms ) AND..you want the cab set to 16 ohm MONO !!!!!!! flip the little switch on the back of the cab to 16ohm MONO, and plug in to that input. :)
