I don't let so much messages on the board but this time I had to do it.
I have put some ants with 0.15 µF caps in my Orville by Gibson which was loaded with Gibson 57 classic = new guitar. The 57s sounded muddy in the low end and middy as hell, i had no tone just that sound from the 57s so I decided to change for the ants. Once it was done I had to setup the pickups (height and pole screws which are very responsive) and now the result is amazing. Very well balanced, nice low and high end without too much mids and a lot of clarity. Sound is very transparent to the tone of the guitar when unplugged and just warm it up a little. These pickups are great and I love them. These things didn't happen everyday that's why I wanted to testify about it.
