Keith Richards Dead Flowers Tone

Did Keith use a Telecaster on this track? I'm not even sure if it was a guitar at all. Maybe it was a Lap Steel. The part I'm talking about is the clean "lead" part during the verses.

Is there a humbucker that would allow me to get this tone - or relatively close - from a Les Paul? I'm not even looking to cover the actual song, I've just always loved that tone and I want to hear it come out of my amp.

The lead guitar part could well be Mick Taylor.

sounds like a regular tele on the bridge with the tone rolled back a little to me on that track.
There is a fair bit of reverb on it too. Maybe a deluxe reverb.
Love that tune.

Yeah, the lead is Mick, but the little fills during the verses was Keith.
