This is a KILLER Oberheim soft synth! I will probably get it now just to have in the stable with the mountain of Arturia soft synths I already own.

Though Geddy Lee used the OB-X on ... Farewell to Kings, I believe, he was a staunch Moog user as well.

I don't either... but man is that synth mighty cool

I'm not a big synth guy but I love when I see a model like this and hear all the iconic sounds...I guess its the synth version of us guitar players going 'thats an LP into a plexi!" or recognizing a pedal sound straight away

Synthesis is very complex; I am 1/3 through a 6 month course on synth programming and can attest to this -- those classic sounds did not happen by accident but are the net sum of days and days of experimentation for a single patch.

Of course, there's an open-source Oberheim freebie, like there is for almost everything; might be worth a listen.

Isn't that from Agent Provacateur? I thought that was much later than '81. But I am not a Foreigner fan by any stretch ...
