Re: Kinman Mod -- killer for P90's and humbuckers too

thread necromancy bump

would anyone else like to suggest their details re the values of resistors and capacitors they're using, with the type of guitar/pickup/potentiometer, for reference?

and then can we vault this thread please? i've looked for it before and couldn't find it

I need a diagram to visualize this (old dog, new trick). Does someone have one?

Thanks!

Visualize a 130k resistor wired in series with a .001 uf cap. Then visualize one end of this contraption soldered to one non-ground volume pot lug, and the other end soldered to the other non-ground volume pot lug. It doesn't seem to matter which end goes to which lug.

A 250-500k "trim pot" in place of the resistor, would work nicely with either mod so that you could "custom tune" the affect to your particular pickup/pot/cap/amp/etc. combination.

You can also get "sockets" so that you can substitute caps without having to resolder evertime you want a change. ;)

Here are some picture of it. ;)
