I've been on the lookout for a rack power amp for a long time now, and I just got a killer deal on a Kitty Hawk 2*60 watts, EL34-based one. The problem is, that one is in Netherland, and I am in Norway, so I'll have to rely on you guys to judge if I should go for it or not.
As far as I know, Kitty Hawk have a rather good reputation, and I know Reb Beach got some killer tones out of them back in the days, but it simply isn't possible to find anything by them to try here in Norway. Anyone tried any of it? Would it roughly be the same quality as the products of the market leaders on guitar power amps, Marshall/Mesa Boogie/Peavey/Carvin? Would it sound different from the "standard" power amps in any way?
Any information you have on this particular amp, or KH amps in general, would be greatly appreciated.
