Kramer Baretta Vintage Pewter Grey

That is a sweet axe. I played one at a store when they first came out...played like butter. They were'nt officially being imported by a local importer/dealer though so the price was ridiculous compared to the official Kramer price . Had to pass.. :(

Congrats and enjoy!

I would be very interested to hear your opinion. I have been considering the red and the snakeskin models for some time.

I find it interesting that they went with maple for the body on these. There's only a couple hundred of maple bodied Barettas from the 80's. The vast majority are alder or poplar. Nevertheless, these are nice looking guitars. I hadn't had a chance to play one but am curious how it stacks up to my '88. I wasn't impressed with the reissue Pacers.

Cool guitar, I would love to own one of those myself. I'm also a fan of Gator cases they make great cases at a great price. Anyways, hope it turns out great for ya.

These seem to be modelled after the 85 models, which is around the time maple was most prevalent. George Lynch famously had a maple Baretta (albeit with a rosewood fretboard). He claims to have hated it today, but it is strange how so many of his signature guitars thereafter used maple bodies and very Krameriniscent banana headstocks.

Yes the all maple is an odd choice for the Baretta. I've had nothing but positive experiences with the JB in all maple before. I'm hoping this one will be no different.

The Duncan 78 should be here tomorrow and I was going to try it in this guitar, even if I do like the JB and how it sounds. I've never tried the 78 so I am looking forward in test driving it in all maple

They use all maple for the last & current generation of Steinbergers, too (also owned by Gibson), and they are probably made in the same factory.

She arrived. Letting it sit for 24 hrs to accumulate. Box does have some weight but the guitar isn't packed tight enough and its moving around inside. Hopefully all is good.
