Kramer Question

I found a rough Kramer guitar that looks like a Strat except for the wierd head stock. It has controls like a Strat with an extra switch and a Humbucker at the bridge ( Floyd something Rose?) the guy wants $35 Would I be off the mark to buy this for electric slide use?

Re: Kramer Question

Depends. Have you played it? Does it sound OK? What model? Does it say where it's made?

The Floyd Rose is the bridge, a double-locking trem. Not really necessary for slide guitar if that's all you plan on using it for.

Re: Kramer Question

is it an older kramer? The striker series wasnt very good back in the 80's, all those guitars were made out of plywood. The focus and the USA models are a great bang for your buck though.

Prolly not the greatest guitars in the world for slide, more of a shred guitar, but for 35 bucks it'd be a great deal.

Re: Kramer Question

Thanks for the help! I think it may be a striker from looking at the Striker in the local music store.

Re: Kramer Question

For $35, what the heck. I wouldn't pay more than $50 though if it is a Striker.
