Just thought id post this small cover i did of Walk with me in hell from lamb of god, was mostly fooling around and i know i made some mistakes but it was done in couple hours and just wanted to fool around with the amp and see how it would sound. It was all recorded with just a MD421 trough ProTools and the rest of the tracks come from Sacrament's Producer edition, no effects other than a wah wah at the begining and a bit of delay for intro with a mxr carbon delay the rest comes straight from the amp and my new charvel pro mod (JB/59). Doesnt sound quite like lamb of god i know but i wasn't really aiming for a 100% reproduction of their sound. Let me know what you guys think!

good recording!! Funny, I played a Mark IV and didnt think there was much gain on tap.. ????

Re: Lamb of god test with the new Mark IV

thanks all, im just having a ton of gun with this amp its crazy maybe its just the "newness" thing but im actualy having more fun with it than my marshall lately, my charvel pluged straight into this thing sounds just huge and heavy.

Ill work on redneck and post it tomorrow, its a pretty cool song with some solid riffs that are fun to play ill see if i can pull the whole song this time too.

Theres so many options and settings you can mess around with i also thought the same thing when i first pluged into it but after a while of messing around with it i started to catch on how it worked and found it has plenty of gain that i dont even use a pedal to boost it or anything like i would generally rely on. I generally cant live without my sd-1 in front of any amp, its like my default pedal but with the mesa i havn't really found the need to use it yet.. also find it rather cool not to have any pedals and just have a guitar pluged in straight into an amp and just play.

Its defenetly not a plug and play type of amp unless your lucky and somehow dialed in a perfect tone for you from the start. Everything you do can or cannot have drastic effect on the tone, theres the whole cascading gain thing, all the push pull pots, the voicing and eq, the class A/simul class and penthode/triode options.. just by flicking a few switches and not even turning any knobs at all can change the whole way the amp sounds and reacts. It can be time consuming and a bit annoying at times if your just looking for a tone and want to dial it in quickly but the patience pays off big time once you get it right.

definately cool ^^
but lacks the LOG "grit" in the tone.. i missed that..
