Re: Laney LC15R ? Looking for opions of this amp
i played an old one at a shop. its a pretty great little tube amp for the money. its more like the peavey classic series than a fender or anything else, however its sound is very unique. the quality isnt superb but its great for the money. Its a perfect amp depending on the type of music you play. Not a metal amp but the overdrive is good. This amp is a dream for recording and for using with a modeler ( ex: xt live, v-amp). I consider it the ideal tube amp for bedroom use or studio recording. it could even do very small gigs depending on the genre. I believe its only competetors in its price range are the blues junior and the new crate tube v series. This amp is much more versatile than either of those. Some believe the 10 inch speaker doesnt give it enough thud but those are opinions. For blues and 70s rock this is a great amp. perfect for recording and studio use, and you could match it with an avatar cab for gigging. Sorry for the long overview but if you guys want specific details about it just ask
