I realize its not likely any you guys are gonna be couhgin' up the 350 cash I need for this neck, so open to any and all trades.
Highly Tiger Flamed Koa Warmoth Strat neck ( will work with Tele) with fiqured Ziricote fretboard ( $65.00 option).
LIGHTWEIGHT 1 LB. 0.2 OUNCES ( w/o tuners) KOA SHAFT AND ZIRICOTE FRETBOARD.CLAY DOTS. 6150 "MEDIUM JUMBO" / FENDER SIZE FRETS.Warmoth Radius. "Wizard" thin profile.
Fretwork is excellent- frets are level, well crowned and polished. Neck is straighter than an arrow, truss rod works, and there are no issues.
Nut size is slightly under 1 and 11/16th's. I am including a white new Tusq XL nut. **********
Excellent +. Neck Straight, Truss Rod Works. Frets in fine condition. Neck is clean and Warmoth Factory thin Poly Finish is outstanding*.There are some tiny indentions on the back of the headstock at the tuner holes- not certain why they are there or what for.
~12 years old neck. I'm the second owner. It has obviously not been played much at all due to the negligible wear on the entire neck. The neck Koa grain is highly figured as shown. Dark Rich Chocolate/ Caramel Ziricote wood Fretboard . FOLKS, MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT, THIS PRIZED TONEWOOD IS HARD TO COME BY. Warmoth no longer lists Koa in their build section, so only available possibly by custom order, and expensive- well over 500 hundred I'm guessing with the also expensive Ziricote.
*FROM WARMOTH;
WHAT FINISHING MATERIALS DO WE USE?;
"Urethane is our primary finishing material though we do use several thin coats of polyester as a base coat to fill the wood grain. The process is first to fill the grain, then the color coat is applied. Finally the top coats are laid down before final sanding and buffing. If the body is dyed, these colors are put on the raw wood prior to the base coat application. There seems to be much controversy about finishing materials and poly seems much maligned...Without sinking into the depths of this debate, let us just say that our finishes seldom exceed twelve thousandths on an inch in thickness. For the lacquer fans, there are others that spray this material though the cost is generally at least double for a very questionable sonic difference. (emphasis added)".
Looking for old pedals, in particular an old Muff- can add cash.
Also consider trades for bodies, and necks with a fatter profile, particularly Maple;
