Legend Rock N Roll 50 Combo

Wattage

High Voltologist
One of my friends just picked this up, needed a little TLC so I cleaned it up, cut new back braces and fixed a few minor issues.

Pretty cool amp, love the very 70's look. 3-12AX7 Pre's with an SS power section into a Rola Celestion G12-80 soeaker...F'N LOUD!!!!

pretty sure the Rev used these for a while

Nice. Very Fender/Boogie-esque look. Had a kind of mid-nasal sound, though.

G12-80s were a thing for a while. My 1983 Randall RG80 1x12 had one. With a good solid cab, sounds bigger than it is. I put my Randall on top of my Marshall 4x12 with Vintage 30s and I could hear both equally well, balanced.

Aren't the Celestion/Mesa Black Shadow speakers based on the Celestion G12-80?

Cool amp. Looks like a Silver face with a Boogie cane grille.

The nasal thing was probably more the angle and my phone than the actual sound of the amp, it can be a bit mid-y though.

my buddies older brother had a legend amp. it was loud and sounded good, but i didnt know how to dial it in with the various gain/volume knobs. cool stuff!
