Legs of 59 B Pickup Stripped -- How to Repair?

OK -- I recently purchased a used SD 59 Bridge and went to install it in my LP Classic only to find that the hole in each leg of the pickup for the height adjustment screw was too wide -- the thread in each leg had been stripped. I know how to fix this for fiber work in a single-coil pickup -- make a plastic from super glue and baking soda, which holds well and accepts a new thread. How do you do this with the metal legs of a humbucker? Same thing? Solder a thin piece of metal to the bottom and drill a smaller hole?
Thank you for your thoughts, ideas and experiences in this regard.

I would go to a larger screw if the hole is only widened a bit. IF it was drilled out oversized for direct mounting use little bolts with the standard screws:)

Go to a larger size screw or solder/super glue nuts that fit the orginal screws to the bottom of the legs.

I had a Custom like that, I tried soldering on a little nut but it always fell of no matter how I tried it. If you use a bolt, just use a long spring - the tension will allow you to still adjust the height of the pickup without the nut spinning all the time.

In the past I've soldered a nut to the plate with great success. Just make sure you clean the surface up really well with abrasive cloth and use flux to get a good fix. I've also put run some solder into the hole and gently recut the tread. Both worked well without any failures.
