Les Paul Classic

Does anyone play one of these? I think they are great. How would JB/496T (I think that's the neck pickup that comes with it) or maybe a JB/Jazz sound in there? Jazz's aren't very hot, are they? Would JB/Alnico II Slash balance well? I wonder if anybody who owns a Les Paul with the Slash APH-IIs could tell me how it sounds. Or even better, if someone could compare the regular APH-IIs with the Slash ones in terms of equalization/output. Thanks, guys.

I have a '91 Classic that I've recently put APH-1s into. It's a great guitar. The APH-1s have a smooth but bright tone that's excellent for classic rock. Can't comment on the JB/Jazz or Custom Shop Slash pups as I haven't tried them.

There is a recent thread somewhere here that includes a comparison of the regular APH-1s and the Slash ones.
