Les Paul > Lovepedal > Bogner

Re: Les Paul > Lovepedal > Bogner

Whoa! Very nice! Love it. Absolutely love it. Could listen to it in my truck any day. When is the album due out and where do I buy it?

I decided early on that the first part of this would be digital download, then maybe later I would do some CD's.
So.....
You can get it on iTunes, Amazon MP3, and a number of other places like that.
Also, you can buy it through the Nimbit store on the myspace site:

Thanks for the word! Glad you like it!

Re: Les Paul > Lovepedal > Bogner

Randy I did not see any info about the guitar you used for Dream. It sounds great! What model Bogner is it? I use a Shiva 1 12". Thanks

Re: Les Paul > Lovepedal > Bogner

The rhythm guitar was a voodoo Strat, and the lead is my 1970 goldtop deluxe. The les paul has the stock minihumbucker in the neck position, and an Ant. Firebird in the bridge. The amp is a Bogner Metropolis (30 watts, 212). The lead was played through Schizo 5 through a Lovepedal Eternity using the JRC chip, which is a little more 'spongey' than the mysterious 'hot chip' that I used on other tracks. The rhythm was played through Schizo 1, which has some pretty cool clean and slightly overdriven tones.

Great stuff, the song, singer, and guitars are all great. Now, where can forum bro's download the album?:naughty:

Man, That is tasty.. (We Dream)
The singer is amazing.. The power of Joplin without going harsh like jan used to do. The song is great and the playing is amazing! But, Bro.. The tone... This is one that I can see guys trying to dup.. Id LOVE to get that solo sound. Soon we will be seeing posts on the forum, "what duncan do I use to get that We dream solo sound??"
Im a fan..

Re: Les Paul > Lovepedal > Bogner

Wow. We Dream is amazing. Just very nice things going on all around. Have been eyeing the Lovepedal lately, and you didn't reduce my GAS! :D

Edit: oh, and Halo was jamming. Must have been fun recording that one.

Yeah, I really like JoJo's gutsy alto kinda thing. She's incredible in the studio as well. Usually knocks things out really quickly, and is spot on.

'Halo' the anthem of pole dancers and punk heroes! That one was lots of fun, and the Lovepedal stuff was quite an asset. Sean's got some great stuff, for sure!

Re: Les Paul > Lovepedal > Bogner

Hey Randy-it is good to see you, but man, you and your band are really great to listen too. I know you're a Metro user and I've perused the bogner clips for a long time, but compared to this stuff, I really didn't know how great of a player you are! Really diggin' this stuff! And it goes without saying that the singer is phenomenal. We Dream reminds me of an old Bond tune.

Take care,
Dave

Re: Les Paul > Lovepedal > Bogner

Hey Dave! Thanks for the good review! We found that the Bogner Metro was killer for the classic rock type tone, and it does better with low output pickups, such as the Antiquity Tele and Antiquity Firebird. Its better to run the amp at low overdrive most of the time, then jack it up with a Lovepedal, BSM or BJFE for leads.

GOT SOME INTERESTING NEWS FROM THE BBC/RADIO 2: We were supposed to air on 10/20/08. JoJo and I were listening, and didn't hear anything. We were both kinda down about all that. Then, just the other day, I got an email. One of the producers decided to put Pegasus Actual on the special program "Guitar Greats." The tunes were part of the slide guitar segment, and they started with Robert Johnson on a timeline that included Bukka White, Son House... Duane... Warren & Derrick.... then me as the show closer. The show aired on 10/13/08, so it went right by me and JoJo..... had no idea what was up. I was a little surprised to say the very least! We are waiting for a CD of the broadcast, and when I get it, I'll post it for friends to hear.

Hey, everyone! You might be interested to check this out, especially if you play blues, blues-rock, americana, and other types of soulful goodness:

Longtown Sound has had us on 3 times so far, and its helping.
Its an internet station that connects to a satellite radio station.
The audience is about 100,000 so far, with about 5000 new listeners per month.
The podcasts are free download through i-Tunes.
Just thought I'd let the indie artists out there know about it.
Keep on rockin' the blues!!!
