I am getting another Les Paul. I am familiar with the 59 only. Heard clips of Alnico Pro whihch I thought sounded great. Never heard Jazz.

For my Les Paul neck I want warm, mass sustain, with ability ro play cleans.
And FAT.

Does anyone have experience with this in a Les Paul? Or can tell me the differences beteen these?

The 59 and Jazz will probably be too bright for what you want. The APH-II is a good choice but I prefer the Pearly Gates neck model in LPs for the tone you describe.

Ditto.

I love the alnico 2 pro in the neck. Well I would if I could just get one rated 7.8-7.9k. My 8.2k was muddy and my 7.4k lacked bass.

Use the 21-day policy, seriously. It's how I've managed to try all the pups in my sig!

I get everything you say you want out of my Jazz. I don't think it's too bright at all.
