Les Paul - Series-Parallel-Split

I have a Les Paul and it has a DPDT on-on switch. I have done the split wiring for both the Neck and Bridge PU's and thought the results were decent. I remember reading a post where something thought the other wiring options were better, (series/parallel or phase). I think Peter Green was known for an out of phase tone.

Since I have never wired the others, what are the best tone options using a DPDT on-on switch? Series/Parallel?? In-Phase/Out-of-Phase? or Split? Opinions?

Hello Jack...I Like doing this mod on my bridge positions in my H/S/S strat...You need a DPDT mini switch on/on/on and the combination I Like is series/split/parallel.....If you use something like a CC or a C5 you can get a decent(And I say decent only)split tone at around 7k....I don't find a use for the phase position because it's thin and halves your tone...

Does that mean if I have a DPDT on-on, that I can get only two choices? Series/Parallel or Series/Split or Series/Phase?

That's correct....If you use the on/on/on switch,you wire it just like you wire for the on/on but you end up with 3 different possibilities..You can have series/split/parallel.
