Les Paul & SG - Which pickup would you choose?

Let's say you have a Les Paul and an SG each that you wanted to replace their pickups with the following sets, which one would you choose? Any why?

set A, Seymour Duncan Whole Lotta Love set
set B, Seymour Duncan 59 neck, with a Lollar Imperial bridge
set C, Gibson Custombuckers

Let me hear your opinions, thanks!

LP - SD WLH pair
SG - BKP HSP 'Pig P90s

Whole Lottas in the SG just to be different

P-Rails in the Les Paul.

WLH in the LP.

I have '59's in an SG and they work well there. The neck isn't boomy like what happens in some LP's. I put an UOA5 in the '59B to get the treble under control and give the sound more texture.

Re: Les Paul & SG - Which pickup would you choose?

Just an update, I have installed the WLH set in my les paul and liked it so far. I wasn't so sure at first because it sounded squishy in my other guitar. This time I turn up the amp wattage (1W -> 5W) and it sounded beastly. It had a very different character compared to the '59s, but I am very used to the bright, cutting tone of the 59s.

I leave the Livebuckers in my SG (they're supposed to be ahigher output version of Custom buckers) as they sounded great in that guitar, didn't feel like changing a thing, yet. :)

Just gotta find a place for the lollar/59.. thanks guys.

lol dont blame the squish on pickups if you have a 5watt amp!

....but im glad you like the pickups :)
