Les Paul with Ziricote

Do you guys think an LP would sound decent with a Ziricote fretboard? I've got a light 1 piece mahogany back, figured English sycamore for the 3/4" top and mahogany for the neck (bit denser than I'd like though). Would using a Ziricote fretboard on this build be a wise choice?

I've just bought enough Ziricote for around 10 fretboards for about £25, and I'm itching to use it. I know it would look great, but will it sound good?

Tonally it's very similar to Ebony. I don't see why it wouldn't sound great!

I love the intricate patterns on this wood, and from what I've been told, it sounds fantastic. Although I have no personal experience with it, I have been told that the feel of it is buttery like ebony, and tonally it sounds very similar to Brazilian Rosewood.

hmm - I wouldn't have thought of Brazilian Rosewood and Ebony as similar sounding, although something with the bite and ring of ebony but without the occasional piercing highs would be sweet.

I like Pau Ferro. I just received a solid 1 piece pau ferro neck.... It's beautiful, looks like brazilian rosewood but felt much smoother, like a pool cue. It's supposed to sound like maple
