A friend of mine wants to rewire his guitar. The circuit is not a problem - he is simply not a "17000 pickup selection" type of person. Just one three way, one volume and one tone.
The problem is his guitar already had a three way - two volume and two tone - one each for each pickup of course.
He doesn't want to leave useless controls in the guitar, and he doesn't want to live with vacant holes.
Anything that has to do with refinishing is not an option. This guitar is sort of pseudo vintage and he doesn't want anything permanent that can't be reverted back.
He swears he has seen guitars with some sort of "rubber plug" used to fill unused holes in a guitar.
Has anyone heard of this and can point me towards something that will work for this situation?
Thanks!
