'96 JTM45 reissue.

In 2003 I modded it to period-correct (1966 JTM45) specs.

Last year I modded it to be a '68 50W Plexi (tube rectified) with the .68uF V2 bypass cap (EVH plexi gain secret!).

I’d post my JCM 800 but it’s out being modded at the moment.

Re: Let’s see those Marshall Amps Modded or Clones

I went into a random Dallas Texas Music store yesterday. They had 3 classic Traynor amps (and had already sold a few others) from a collector in Texas who had recently passed.

Now, I've never see 4 Traynors in one store before but they had a Guitarmate YGM-3A -which is a hand-wired Fendery sounding amp with a really high end reverb tank (accutronics like Fender) and even better Tremelo (Vibrato as Fender mistakenly called it) -A great amp, A big Reverb Master which is really good, A modern version, and the grand daddy a real YBA-A1 Bassmaster MkII -which brings this comment into this thread topic -as it's the ultimate Marshall Plexi Derivative -and one of the easiest and most fun amps to MOD.

I may go pick it up tomorrow and get it to snarling dog Marshall Plexi level this summer.

My DIY 18 Watter clone, originally a Bogen PA amp chassis. I love the looks of the old Univox Group B amps (another great beastly Marshallesque amp line) but have no use for 60 or 100-watt stacks any more. So I built this. Low-powered Marshall tone with groovy '70s Univox style.

Here is Mark Abrahamian’s #2 ‘ground-up’ build utilizing a Metropoulos 12xxx chassis.

Since Mike’s target tone for his crunch channels was aimed at the JMP, here are my Soldanos. Plus, the Chrome Dome custom amp is a JTM style circuit with Adam’s touches built in.

REASON AMPS SM-50

Re: Let’s see those Marshall Amps Modded or Clones

Re: Let’s see those Marshall Amps Modded or Clones

Original 50 watt jubilee

50 watt JMP spec to 71ish specs - GT350 Logo - metroamp kit, merren transformer
50 watt JMP 69ish specs - Mercury logo . Started as a JTM45 kit, changed to Classictone OT and metro board I build. has lead/bass switches
50 watt bass spec in a germino headshell. started as a JTM45 I hated (again) and tore down, used merren OT and early 68 specs with low filtering and NFB

I'm not the cleanest builder on the planet but here's the GT350 lead build;

All are loaded with nos/anos tubes.
Both the GT350 and the black headshelled bass amp have RFT EL34s, the Mercury head has Tesla welded plate NOS
The GT350 has Bugleboys in V1, V2 and a Telefunken inV3
Mercury has a mallard in V1, Black Raytheon V2, and telefunken V3
The bass spec has GE short plates in V1 and V2...and either a telefuinken or sylvnia in V3 can't rememeber.

All 3 of those have masters. the two red boxed heads have the Lar Mar version, and the Black one has Rich Mod with PEC pot..I like that better as a master. Will likely change the other two at some point.

I'm sure the amp is wonderful and all, but the fact that you have a green sparkle SG makes you my hero! I once missed an entire philosophy class because I was daydreaming about...a green sparkle SG. Seriously. I have never seen one before.
Good thing yours is a lefty or I might start a life of crime
