Liberator Question (Frank Falbo HELP!)

I was wondering if you could use two conductor wire on the liberator/Blackout Module? I'm asking because I have 2 triple shots on both my Seymour's and want too keep all the versatile options it offers. Thanks.

P.S. Do you have the dimensions of the liberator?

Re: Liberator Question (Frank Falbo HELP!)

2-conductor works fine into the Liberator, but not into the Blackouts preamp since it needs to see each coil independently. 2- conductor into one half of the Blackouts preamp is essentially a single ended preamp with half the headroom.

Thank -you so much for clearing that up. It's much appreciated!

Re: Liberator Question (Frank Falbo HELP!)

Ok, while I was reading over the wiring diagrams I have to ask this question: When I wire in my triple shot into the Liberator, do the black and white wires switch dutys? It looks like the white wire is the new hot output. Thanks.

Re: Liberator Question (Frank Falbo HELP!)

The white wire is the new hot, and therefore I'd suggest feeding it into the black station, since that would have been your hot when using a 4-conductor. The black wire is the new ground, so I would suggest feeding that to the green station, since that would have been ground when using 4-conductor. Then the sheild wire goes to shield of course. This way, if you ever pull the Triple Shots and install pickups in standard mounting rings, you won't have to think about the color codes. But the truth is, aside from the two shield stations that are already connected to ground, all the other terminals can be used for whatever you want. You could use white and black as the white and black wires from the Triple Shot and then cut the other wires off if you wanted. It's your call.
