Liberator question

Hey im new to the forum. i just had a question reguarding the solderless pickup installing tech called the liberator. does this device replace the volume or the tone pots? thats all i want to know. i cannot get anyoe at my local guitar center to even answer this question. they seem like they are abit slow or something. thanks in advance

Yes, it is a solderless potentiometer that comes in both 500k and 250k.

It's not exactly solderless.

It's a potentiometer. It doesn't matter which it replaces. It can be either the volume or the tone control. But, you need to understand, it's not exactly "solderless". The first time you install it, you have to do all the normal soldering that you would do with any pickup change. It's subsequent pickup changes that don't need to get soldered. In other words, it's for folks who want to experiment with different pickups. If you know what pup combination you want, on the first go 'round, the Liberator won't help.
