Lil 59 for strat vs SSL-6

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the Lil-59 neck model is brighter than the SSL-6 in the neck slot. I've currently got an SSL-6 in the neck of my HSS strat (Alder/Maple). I'm running a 500k volume pot and 250k tone pots. The SSL-6 is not too bright with the 500k volume ( seems like it would be very dark in a full 250k pot setup, at least in the neck), but I'd like a humbucker there for a little more power and obviously the hum cancelling. I guess my question really is this: Is the Lil-59 neck going to be too bright with a 500k volume pot? Thanks for any help.

To my ears, it is. I have generally used the Little 59 with 250k pots, but depending on the guitar, it may work with 500k. Pots are cheap, so worth it to try both. I am thinking the Little 59 would be the one, though.
