One of my mates has a Spider II 30 and a Ibanez 270DX with a Dimebucker in the bridge. He can't seem to get a good metal and insane tone.
He's into Primal Fear, Sinergy, Children of Bodom, Hammerfall, Blind Guardian, Seven Witches, In Flames (basically Power Metal in general). Any of these tones would be great, especially Seven Witches, Primal Fear or In Flames.
