I know there's a lot of love for the Valvetronix blue grilled amps, but what about the silver metal grilled AD50VT vs. the Line 6 spider III 75 watt. Any love for the Spider? Any similarities between the Spider and a PODxt? I heard a Spider, not sure which model, at a church service, it seemed like the bass was a little low, but it cut through the mix with a high gain tone that sounded pretty good, the guitar used was an Epi LP, again, not sure of the exact model.

I really wanted to like the Line 6 spiders. I think they look cool, and have some cool features, but the sound killed it for me. I didn't like any of the distortion sounds, and some of them were even useless. To much fizz. no warmth, no crunch, no low end. I liked the idea of the built in tuner, but that was crap and complicated. The effects were limited and hard to dial in. Plus they sounded like crap too.

The Vox is much more musical and easier to dial in a good sound. All of the distortion/amp channels sound great and the effects sounded great and were very flexible too. the functions like channel switching and programming were much more straighforward and easier to use. The vox had much more depth and sounded much better IMO.
